I see a strong relation between Discordianism and Taoism. Both philosophies are about acknowledging that there is both the orderly and disorderly in the world, and each is only “good” or “bad” depending on your outlook at the time. In addition to this, both Discordianism and Taoism teach the idea that the best way to deal with these sorts of situations is humour. There will be good times, and there will be bad times, it is beyond our control, but to focus on the bad and become cynical is the way of the Greyface.
As John Adam said, “I must either weep or laugh. I prefer to laugh.”
So do I.
Hail Eris! All Hail Discordia.
